Either because they didn't have any relationship or because they had mediocre or bad relationships.
And since like isn't so terrible when you're single, some may lack the motivation if the prize doesn't seem that great. I actually quite enjoy the whole process of getting to know someone.

As a separate entity from the husband-wife creation, I had become. They carried the traits of someone one would want to spend more time with. It’s better than okay, it’s an awesome thing and something that shouldn’t be second guessed or doubted. Some of us might decide later, whether we meet someone special or we just decide we’re finally ready, that we want to date and see what comes of it.
My life had once consisted of a husband and our children.
That was my focus and my heart and soul went into all aspects of family.

Let me say that there is absolutely nothing wrong with those who are ready to get right back on that horse again. I also think it’s great for those who shake their head at the idea of dating and just stay away from it, for whatever reason they have.

It can be a little daunting because I think a lot of people, men and women, just expect instant chemistry, or to be swept off their feet. I like to think of myself as romantic but I only like it when we've already established a connection and I know what her likes and dislikes are, how I can make it personal.
But yeah, it's still pretty fun meeting new people. I'm right there with you, fortunately I'm with a great person who was a good friend and we just segued into a relationship but I've honestly never been interested in dating for datings sake.
Life is filled with certain questions and there are some you can almost be assured you’ll hear at least once in your life when you have a major life change occur.
